Easy-peasy!
Earlier this year I started working for the first time with Unstoppable Cards. I had heard about this company through a fellow artist but had never seen their products before as they are located in the UK and only sell their trading cards online.
I shot them off an application and the company dug my work. They immediately offered me a few projects right off the bat, beginning with the Gerry Anderson Supermarionation set and the soon to be released Terminator 2! The Gerry Anderson just released last week but T2 won’t be out for another month or so.
At first I had no idea what or who ‘Gerry Anderson Supermarionation’ was. After looking into a bit more I found out he had created a whole slew of children’s shows back in the 60’s and on, most of which were big only in the UK. Living in Canada, however, we tend to receive a few UK shows and one of which was the Thunderbirds and that show I did watch on reruns in the 90s! It was weird as hell, with strange looking marionettes and goofy adventurous storylines, but also oddly captivating and entertaining.

Gerry Anderson Sketch Cards
For this set I used a few different styles. The sketch card paper stock was a little different from what I’m used to so there was a bit of experimentation. Some of the cards were created with brush pens and copics and others were a mix of copics and pencil crayons, similar to how I tackled the recent Star Wars: 40th Anniversary set.
