Sketch cards are 2.5 x 3.5″ drawings. These began as simple sketches that were traded between artists and have grown into their own niche genre; check out the article I wrote here to find out more about sketch cards. For myself, like many other artists, I produce sketch cards for licensed trading card sets. My sketch cards are original illustrations approved by art directors from the properties that I am working on and then inserted into the trading card packs. Sometimes my illustrations are reproduced and printed as trading cards in the products!
In addition to working on licensed trading card sets I also create sketch cards just for fun and sale. Contact me if you would like to commission a unique sketch card for yourself!
